In advance of the 2013-14 season, The Virginia Intermont College’s women’s basketball team participated in basketball clinics at a local middle school.
On Monday, Oct. 21st the Lady Cobras visited the Churchill Middle School girls’ basketball team for their practice, helping them learn new playing skills. The Lady Cobras worked with the Churchill Lady Panthers on skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing and defense.
Lady Cobras’ Head Coach Jaclyn Dickens said, “It was great to see my players out in the community helping others advance their skills.”
VI Junior Jayla Lane said, “It was a wonderful opportunity to reach out and help the young, talented players get better. We are looking forward to working with them in the future and hope to see them at our games.”
